Greetings!   My name is Ken.  Pleased to meet you.

I’m just a guy… with hopes and dreams and aspirations and fears and distractions. Probably a lot like you. I like business and computers and books and occasional workouts. Professionally, I’ve been around the proverbial block a coupla times… made some gains and taken some losses. I’ve got an academic degree and professional designation or two.

Mostly I’m interested in the way things work and those few who have figured it out.

I live with the woman I love. Our three children and two sons-in-law are the delight of our lives.

I’m not very patient with mediocrity. I admire excellence. My head never stops churning ideas and arguments and observations. I’m a meaning junkie. I’m forever attaching a phrase or a metaphor to the things I see and hear. Story-telling is an art form I admire. Those folks who can hold the attention of an audience – well, I’m drawn to them – especially the ones committed to good things. Ah – the spellbinder – may his/her tribe increase.

I like to sit down and write about things that matter.

My stuff looks a lot more like story-telling than journalism.  It's not fiction... accuracy matters.   But what's most important to me is that you get the point.  And along the way, I hope there will be a chuckle... and a smile and a nod.  An occasional "right on."  If so, I've succeeded.

You are a leader. You need focus. Potential is terrific. But give me achievement any day. Agreed? So I call this weekly cyber-memo LeaderFOCUS. In bringing some of that to you – I’m hopin’ some of it will rub off on me.
