See Photos on Costco Site for Review Greetings, all! My my my… what GREAT news. After the second push, Kris and Ben and Carolyn heard the doctor’s report – “We’ve got a girl!” Astonishment reigned. Then tears. And hugs. And starry eyed wonderment. “Oh My Gosh!” No way! Way. So the decision to turn a blind eye to the ultra-sound paid rich dividends in Holly Springs and Fontana. On both sides of the Continent. Candy and Jamie brought home a boy… Kris and Ben a girl. Talk about serendipity – surprise by joy. In the Duncan case, Rebecca Joy. The home-spun Draino report (as Diane well noted) turned up accurate – even though it was dismissed, shrugged off by our science majors. And by God’s good grace, Carolyn was present for both arrivals. As if she needed a stronger bond with her daughters… she’s got it now. Wow. Both of us share enormous love for and pride in our sons-in-law. Jamie and Ben are the very best. So Rebecca, now adorned in pink, has made her safe arrival to the Duncan household. As you will see and hear, Kenny and Wil welcomed her with open arms, hugs and kisses. They both knew something the rest of us didn’t dare assume. Weeks, months before June 8. Mommy was carrying their sister, they believed. No, they knew. Kenny would readily tell you, “It’s a gril” (that’s “girl” in three-year-old parlance). “Her name is Rebecca,” he would add. Well, I’ve got to stop writing. It pains me. I need to get going on the photo gallery… it’ll be a quick start… with more to come. The love and prayers that surround us all are cherished and deeply felt. Thank you. Stay tuned. Ken . |
