For Mom's eightieth birthday, her seven children sent her to Israel for seventeen days with her very dear friend, Gail Sheldon (who now lives on the East Coast).  Here are 148 of the over 600 photos from her journey.  Vonnie (Kemp) and Greg Michels were their hosts.

subject: Hello, everyone!

Dear Family,

Just a few words to let you know all is well and that Gail and I are totally enjoying being with Von and Greg in their beautiful apartment. It is so big and bright and fresh air flowing thru the many open windows (without any screens)...

We have been driven to Haifa Bay, the River Jordan, the Sea of Gallilee, Tiberias, an arabic village, a date farm, the Mediterranean Sea side for toe dipping, and see where Stacy lived while here in Israel. All of which, have been so interesting!

We do not begin to have the classes and tours until tomorrow evening. It has been good to be here ahead of time, to catch our breaths....yesterday (my third day) was the worst for feeling sooooo sleepy!!! I guess that was delayed jet lag, but the feeling of wanting to just go to sleep, is rther unbearable! I feel better today.

Hope all is well there....I will write more as time passes.
